So I thought I&#8217;d make it more interesting by setting up my camera to take pictures of it for a time-lapse video. I found some <a href=\"http:\/\/neko.homeunix.net\/~petterik\/doc\/timelapseimg\/\" target=\"_blank\">good instructions to get started here<\/a> &#8211; the idea being to keep the camera connected to a Linux laptop in the garden, with a shell script using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gphoto.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">gPhoto2<\/a> to periodically take pictures. <\/p>\n<p>Stitching some of the pics together with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techsmith.com\/camtasia.asp\">Camtasia<\/a> produces:<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"425\" height=\"355\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/DU1JAEFNuqM&#038;hl=en&#038;rel=0\"><\/param><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/DU1JAEFNuqM&#038;hl=en&#038;rel=0\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" width=\"425\" height=\"355\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>I was planning on using this as a first chance to play with Flickr Video, but it turns out you need to have a pro account to upload video.
