I’ve received another end-of-year recap – this time from YouTube.<\/p>\n

What does YouTube think I’ve watched this year?<\/p>\n

The scrolling list of topics is a little hard to capture – they don’t make it easy to see a full list.<\/p>\n

There are a couple things in the list that surprised me a little – learning about different vehicles? I’ve probably watched many old Top Gear videos, but that’s more for the hijinks than because I’m interested in cars.<\/p>\n

The top five look about right though.<\/p>\n

We use BBC iPlayer, itvx, Channel 4, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video a lot, and we occasionally sign up to Disney Plus and Paramount Plus when there are things we want to catch up on. YouTube is the niche place where I go to watch stuff that isn’t covered there – it makes sense that my YouTube usage is mostly geeky stuff about gaming, tech, and coffee.<\/p>\n

Similar to topics, YouTube doesn’t make it easy to see the channels I’ve watched this year – I assume these icons are the most watched though.<\/p>\n

My guess is that Outside Xtra and outsidexbox make it to the top because I’ve watched some long gameplay videos – I’ve seen all of the Hitman videos<\/a> which are hugely entertaining. I feel like I know Hitman well thanks to outsidexbox, despite the fact that I’ve hardly played Hitman myself.<\/p>\n

Interesting to see some different things coming out of the time-based summaries. I’m not surprised to see Randy Feltface show up – I’ve watched a lot of his stuff recently.<\/p>\n

I don’t listen to a lot of music on YouTube, but when I do, it’s mostly stuff that isn’t available on Spotify.<\/p>\n

As a summary, video games, gadgets, and coffee is a fair description of my interests!<\/p>\n
