{"id":5779,"date":"2025-12-30T11:01:01","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T11:01:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dalelane.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5779"},"modified":"2026-03-14T21:13:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T21:13:42","slug":"2025-in-books-goodreads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dalelane.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5779","title":{"rendered":"2025 in books (Goodreads)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I got out of the habit of logging what I read, but this year I got back into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/dalelane\">Goodreads<\/a> after wanting a way to <a href=\"https:\/\/dalelane.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5552\">share what I read on holiday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Goodreads have two flavours of &#8220;year in review&#8221; reports:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an infographic-heavy report that they send you by email which is generated with data up to mid-December (so excluding everything I read over Christmas)<\/li>\n<li>a much-simpler <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/user\/year_in_books\/2025\/1370155\">web-based one<\/a> that they keep up to date\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more-->I&#8217;ll include both here. This means data from the email report will look inconsistent with the screenshots from the web report that includes what I&#8217;ve read in the last couple weeks.
