This week has been very busy at work, so I&#8217;ve not had the chance to pull together a proper post about it yet, but in the meantime I thought I&#8217;d share a little <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pachube.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pachube<\/a> tip that Usman demonstrated at the event.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been putting the live readings from <a href=\"http:\/\/dalelane.co.uk\/blog\/?s=currentcost\">my CurrentCost meter<\/a> into Pachube as an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pachube.com\/feeds\/1214\" target=\"_blank\">input feed<\/a> for several months now, but not really had much use for it, other than as an easy way to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/dalelane\/3074171640\/\" target=\"_blank\">check my CurrentCost data from my mobile<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Usman showed us an app that lets you get a neat Google chart visualisation of a Pachube feed in just a few clicks:<\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/jsapi\"><\/script><script language=\"JavaScript\" src=\"http:\/\/apps.pachube.com\/google_viz\/viz.js\"><\/script><script language=\"JavaScript\">createViz(1214,1,440,200,\"2921FF\");<\/script><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s very simple &#8211; go to <a href=\"http:\/\/apps.pachube.com\/google_viz\/\">apps.pachube.com\/google_viz<\/a>, give it the ID of your pachube feed, and it generates the short snippet of code necessary to create the Google chart. <\/p>\n<p>It takes no time at all, and really shows the power of being able to easily pipe together different stuff through pachube. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last Saturday was the second HomeCamp.
