Personal wiki for organising your notes, that can run on Windows and Windows
Mobile and keep the notes synchronized between the two platforms.
This site is a CV for Dale Lane, the developer of bLADE
Wiki.
Background
The background to this app is described in my blog. I wanted something that I could
use to take notes on both my PC and my Windows Mobile PDA, which would
be able to keep them in sync.
The Application
bLADE Wiki is actually two separate applications, one for Windows Mobile
Pocket PC and one for Windows desktop. Both are written in C# using the
.NET 2 Framework.
Each application has a different interface, allowing for a mobile
interface better suited to a small touchscreen. They share a
lot of common code - ensuring that the behaviour of the wiki parser is
consistent between the two platforms.
The application has proven very popular and has been downloaded over
10,000 times since being made available as freeware. It has been featured in
Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine as well as
dozens of mobile and PDA websites and blogs.
