I believe strongly in citizenship, and in the ethos of public service - people who dedicate themselves to working for others in their community. I believe in the importance of democracy, and people getting involved in the decision-making process.

I was a volunteer with the Open Voting Consortium - a non-profit organisation dedicated to finding ways that technology can help improve the way that elections are run.

Before leaving Bath, I spent a year as the elected Vice President of the Students' Union, serving the student population of the University
