advice, support, and code fixes for corporate customers
using WebSphere MQ.

Mentoring a team of interns as a part of IBM's Extreme Blue program,

Other activities
I have also had the opportunity to get involved in a number of other activities,
including:
- Conference presentations - Technical
presentations at customer conferences in the Far East
- Blogging - Started and
regularly post to an unofficial blog based on the WebSphere MQ
product.
- SupportPac
Development - Designing and developing additional
software tools to support IBM products, released as freeware on
IBM.com
- Invention,
Innovation and Authoring - Technical publishing on
a variety of technical-related topics. Also, evaluating patent
applications submitted by my peers, and performing peer reviews
on documents for open-source projects.
- Blue
Fusion - Team Leader for the organising team of a
week-long educational science and technology event for hundreds
of local school children, as a part of National Science Week.
- School
liaison - Coordinating a long-term project between
IBM and a local secondary school, including organising events at
IBM Hursley and running weekly classes at the school.
- I.T.
Training - Writing and delivering training in a
variety of I.T. topics for local school teachers.
- Xplore IT - Involved as an activity host for an
science and technology event at a local primary school.
- Training
Events - Preparing and hosting training days at IBM
Hursley for local youth groups.
- Careers Advice - Running CV and interview
clinics at local secondary schools.
- Employee Careers Council - A member of the
representative committee at IBM Hursley, with a focus to help
and support the careers of new employees.
- Technical
Education - Ongoing technical education during my
time at IBM.
