This page highlights some of my achievements while at school.
St Bartholomew's Sixth Form, Newbury
September 1996 - June 1998
I was elected Head Boy of the secondary school part of St Barts. This
role involved a variety of responsibilities, including giving assemblies, meeting and
greeting visitors to the school, talking to parents and more.
Other activities include working as a teacher's assistant in a Year 7
maths class every week, writing for the school newsletter, helping at
Year 7 Induction Evenings and helping to organise and run a Year
7 party.
Highlights include working with a Year 9 group to help them devise and prepare a sketch
for the school House Evening and being awarded a Bronze certificate in the Mathematical
Association UK Senior Mathematical Challenge.
Musical highlights include passing my
Grade 8 examination
on the trumpet, playing in the Berkshire Youth Wind Orchestra Country
Wind Band, Newbury Big Band and school Jazz Quintet. I
played in concerts in a variety of locations including London and going
on tour in Liverpool.

September 1991 - June 1994
Academic acheivements include winning a school prize for Academic Acheivement
two years running.
Other acheivements include being commended in the WHSmith Young Writers Competition.
Musical achievements include two bands I was in both entering the Basingstoke
Music Festival and both coming first in their class. One was presented with
a further award for gaining the highest mark in the Festival. I also passed my
Grade 5 Theory,
and won first place in the North East Hampshire Area Schools Solo
Competition.
