Before leaving University, I spent a year as a Sabbatical officer for the Students' Union. An elected, full-time post, it combined a variety of roles, serving the student population of Bath.

I was the Union Chair of the University Students' Union. An elected post, it involved chairing the various Union meetings, from the General Meetings and meetings of the Student Council, to the weekly Executive meetings of the Sabbatical Officers for the day to day running of the Students' Union.

I was an elected Academic Course Rep for my department. A member of the Staff-Student Liaison Committee, I was responsible for
representing the views of the Computing students to the University and working with the University in course development.

I was an elected member of the Courses Committee for my Department, where changes to the degrees offered by the Department are discussed and decided upon.

I was an elected member of the Students' Union Elections Committee - which oversees the running of the various Students' Union elections. My biggest aim for the year was to ensure that placement students were able to vote, which was largely overlooked in previous years.
